A total of 833 learners from Grades 4 to 6 took the TOFAS (Test of Fundamental Academic Skills) online exam last August 27 to September 5. Out of 833 learners, 833 took the exam. The TOFAS in math is designed to assess foundational mathematical knowledge and skills that are crucial for academic success of learners in Pasay City. The examination lasted 45 minutes with areas covered by the exam are the four fundamental operations, fractions, decimals and percentages. The test also aims to apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations and develop strategies to approach complex problems. The result of the examination will be the basis for formulating interventions that will improve mathematical skills in learners of Padre Burgos Elementary School. A similar test was also administered to Math teachers of the school last September 30, 2024 to assess also the Mathematical capabilities of our mentors.
